Career Highlights: In 2009 Sam won the national title in the long jump for midget boys (12 yr olds) at the AAU Jr Olympic Games (Des Moines, Iowa). In 2008 he was the Age group World Record holder 10 yr old boys long jump 5.15M : 16'-10.75" this was set at the USATF National Indoor Chmps. (Western Zone) in Flagstaff AZ on Feb 24. This was done prior to his 11th birthday. 2 time AAU Track & Field All American, 2-time USATF Track & Field All American (‘07 & ‘06, '07) In 2008 he was the Age group World Record holder 10 yr old boys long jump 5.15M : 16'-10.75" this was set at the USATF National Indoor Chmps. (Western Zone) in Flagstaff AZ on Feb 24. This was done prior to his 11th birthday. At the AAU Jr. Olympics in Detroit Sam competed in 4 events and collected 3 medals. He was 5th in the pentathlon, having an off day he still finished 6th in the long jump, and 4th in the 4x100 relay. In 2007, Samuel long jumped (age 10) 16'-1", making him only one of only seven 10 year olds in recorded USA history to jump over 16 feet; this was the #2 jump overall in the USA for the 2007 season. He also was the anchor leg on the Bantam (10 yr old) Boys 4x100 relay which placed 6th at the same meet and 4th at the USATF Junior Olympic meet the week prior. He was 16th in the 100 meters and 9th in the country in the 200 meters. In 2006 jumped 15'-2" which was the farthest jump in the USA for a Sub-Bantam (9 yr old) boy that year and placed 5th overall in the 9&10 yr old combined age group (Bantam Boys) at the USATF Junior Olympic Championships in Baltimore, MD 2007 (age 10):Long Jumped (age 10) over 16 feet, making him only one of only seven 10 year olds in recorded USA history to jump over 16 feet;
